Supervision details
Integrative CBT, EMDR and IFS supervision that goes beyond case Q&A to build confidence, stay grounded in the model, reflect and navigate the realities of private practice.
Who I Work With
I offer 1:1 supervision online for therapists working with adults in the NHS, private practice or whilst in training. You might be newly qualified, on a CBT top-up course, returning after time away, or bringing CBT into your work from another background. Maybe you want to reconnect with the model or feel more confident using it flexibly. For example, how to integrate CBT with EMDR and IFS therapy. You are welcome to bring recordings, stuck points, theory, process or ethics. We might draw things out, role play, or zoom out to look at the bigger picture of managing a business. I can also support academic work, including CTSR marking.
My Background and Approach
I am a fully accredited CBT therapist, also qualified in Trauma-Focused CBT, EMDR and IFS. I have over 8 years’ post-qualification experience and 14 years in the NHS across adult mental health services. I now run The Self Discovery Project where I offer therapy, workshops and supervision online, and I work as CBT Lead and Associate Professor on a DClinPsy programme. My approach is grounded in the theory and evidence base, as well as integrating different modalities to suit the client and supervisee. I bring in trauma informed and body based approaches where helpful, including self compassion, emotional regulation, somatic therapy, inner child work, attention to physical and social health, and Polyvagal theory. In addition to CBT, I am also trained in Trauma-Focused CBT, IFS therapy, and EMDR. I work in a way that is thorough and structured to ensure depth and progress, while keeping sessions informal, chatty and often lightened with humour so they remain engaging and meaningful. Supervision is ADHD friendly and flexible to different ways of thinking and working.
Specialist Areas
I specialise in low self-esteem, stress and trauma (PTSD and CPTSD), using a biopsychosocial approach across all three. I help women and ADHD minds rediscover who they are, build their self worth, heal from trauma and build a nervous system- and ADHD- friendly lifestyle.
Some supervisees choose to deepen their work in these areas, while others bring a broader mix of mild to moderate mental or physical health difficulties. Either way, supervision stays grounded in theory and evidence while adapting the work meaningfully, whether that is considering culture, neurodivergence or the realities of life.
Next Steps
If this sounds like the kind of supervision space you have been looking for, I would love to hear from you. Click the button above to get in touch, ask any questions or arrange a quick call. If it feels like a good fit, we can set up our first session from there. Sessions can be 30, 60 or 90 minutes and arranged monthly, fortnightly or as a one-off, depending on your needs and caseload. They can take place online with therapists across the UK or face to face in Melton Mowbray. Please check your junk folder in case my reply ends up there.
