About me

Helping you find your way through life’s unexpected changes

Change, bereavement, loss, and emotional upheaval are challenges we all face, whether we're 5 or 85. These moments can feel overwhelming, leaving us uncertain, alone, and unsure of how to move forward.

For Children and Young Adults
Children and young people often grapple with challenges like losing a loved one, parental separation, struggles with identity and belonging, or friendship issues. These experiences can leave them feeling confused, misunderstood, and isolated. Their behaviour may be reflecting emotions they find hard to express.

I provide a safe and understanding space where they can make sense of their feelings and develop healthier ways to cope. By getting to know their interests, I incorporate creative and tailored approaches into our sessions, helping them explore and express their emotions in ways that feel natural to them.

For Adults
As adults, we face major life transitions: ending relationships, children leaving home, career shifts, identity struggles, bereavement, or the emotional changes of menopause. These challenges can leave us feeling lost and vulnerable.

You don’t have to navigate these transitions alone. Together, we can rediscover your strengths and find a path forward that feels right for you.

My Approach
I offer a genuine, down-to-earth approach, working in a person-centred, integrative way. This means our sessions focus on what matters most to you, with techniques tailored to meet your unique needs—whether you're a child, young person, or adult.

Whether you're looking to address a specific issue or simply need a safe space to talk, I’m here to support you in finding your way.

For home visits, I cover Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and the surrounding areas.

Training, qualifications & experience

On a personal note, I have experienced many changes throughout my life including family terminal illness, bereavement, redundancy, divorce and work challenges.  This personal experience helps me understand and empathise with my clients and their desire for positive change.

I have many years experience supporting children and young people struggling with grief.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
