About me

Thank you for visiting my profile. I currently offer my therapy services via the Mindspace Foundation, a community counselling service based in Basingstoke.

I've been working with clients as a therapist for over 15 years. During that time, I've developed a particular speciality in working with sex and relationship issues, however, I also support individuals and couples with a wide range of other key challenges that life can throw at us, such as depression, anxiety, loss and processing difficult past experiences.

Alongside my therapy work, I support trainees and qualified Counsellors as a clinical supervisor and lecturer in counselling at a local college. I am a big fan of research and am currently completing my doctoral studies at the University of Bath with a counselling and psychotherapy focus.

I offer 3 specific types of therapeutic support, namely:

  • Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy - supporting a wide variety of challenges that life can throw at us, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, loss and life transitions, anger, sex and relationship issues.
  • Couples/relationship therapy - helping partners enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their relationship. I offer a safe space to explore challenges and work collaboratively toward building a healthier, more fulfilling life together. Areas I can support with include communication, conflict, infidelity, intimacy and sexual issues.
  • Psychosexual therapy - a specialist form of therapy that helps individuals and couples navigate difficulties related to intimacy, relationships, and sexual well-being. I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to explore concerns. Areas I can support with include: arousal issues, performance anxieties, rapid or delayed ejaculation, erectile issues, porn use or sexual compulsivity challenges.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
