About me

I work with ADHD, neurodiversity, sexuality, relationship diversity, ENM, polyamory, kink-aware therapy, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, grief and emotional overwhelm.

You may be navigating ADHD, questioning aspects of your sexuality, exploring relationship styles outside the norm, or feeling as though you have spent much of your life not quite fitting the mould. Whatever brings you here, therapy can offer a space where you do not have to explain, mask, justify, or shrink who you are.

I’m Toni, a person-centred counsellor working with adults and young people. I offer a warm, affirming and non-judgemental space where your identity, relationships, experiences, emotions and inner world are welcome.

I work with clients in Hertfordshire, West Essex and online across the UK. Sessions are available in person, online, and through walk-and-talk therapy.

Alongside supporting people with anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, trauma, emotional overwhelm, life changes and relationship difficulties, I have a particular interest in ADHD, neurodiversity, sexuality, sexual wellbeing, relationship diversity, ethical non-monogamy, polyamory and kink-aware therapy.

You may come to therapy with something specific, or you may simply know that something feels heavy, confusing or stuck. Both are welcome.

Training, qualifications & experience

My counselling training is grounded in person-centred therapy and supported by direct experience working with adult clients. I like to incorporate creative approaches to sessions where relevant such as fidgets, painting, figures, nesting dolls and stones.

I have worked with people experiencing:

• Anxiety and emotional overwhelm
• Low mood and depression
• Trauma and difficult life experiences
• Relationship difficulties and family challenges
• Grief, loss, and bereavement
• Neurodiversity, including ADHD-related challenges
• Life transitions and uncertainty
• Sexuality, sexual wellbeing, sexual trauma, and sexual concerns
• Relationship diversity, ethical non-monogamy (ENM), and alternative relationship structures

This experience has helped me develop confidence in building trusting therapeutic relationships and providing calm, compassionate, and non-judgemental support.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
