About me
Hi, thanks for looking at my profile. I’m an Integrative counsellor based in North Devon who enjoys working with adults and young people. I have a private practice, work in a school and volunteer at a local mental health charity. I have over twenty years of experience in helping people with addiction. I believe that deep within us all is a place of peace and equilibrium that becomes obscured by life’s difficulties and how we’ve been treated. It’s a privilege and a joy to help someone find that place and watch them change and enjoy life again.
I work intuitively drawing on different aspects of my training and extensive life experience to help with your specific needs. Counselling gives you a chance to pause, reflect, offload and work through a variety of issues in a warm and supportive environment. In fact, the counselling space facilitates a journey of exploration undertaken by both counsellor and client that leads to self-awareness, motivation and ultimately healing. It takes courage but, as I’ve experienced in my own journey, is probably one of the most beneficial and wonderful things you can do for yourself.
As well as working with adults I’m employed as a school counsellor and love to work with young people – it’s quite different to working with adults and I enjoy finding creative ways to help my clients. We use expressive drawing, movement, games, music even boxing during our sessions.
Please give me a call or drop me an email and we can have a chat about what’s going on for you and if I think I can help. Meantime I wish you well, and no matter where, hope you find what you’re looking for.
