About me

A bit about me:

Hi, I'm Toby! I'm a Person-Centred counsellor/psychotherapist with experience working with adults and young people. A little about me; I love to spend my spare time gardening, reading and listening to mental health related content, playing story focused video games, cooking and enjoying good food and spending time with my family. Like many counsellors, I was attracted to the profession due to previous personal counselling experience and a desire to offer support to those who seek help as I had before.

In my time, I have supported clients face-to-face, online and over the telephone. I've worked I privately, in an NHS setting and multiple secondary school settings, gaining experience with:

  • Abandonment
  • Abuse including mental, physical and sexual
  • Anger management
  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement/Grief
  • Bullying
  • Career/School planning
  • Depression
  • Discrimination and oppression
  • Eating Disorders
  • Family and relationship issues
  • Financial concerns
  • Identity
  • Neurodiversity
  • Panic attacks
  • Planning to return to work
  • School-specific challenges
  • Self-confidence and self-esteem issues
  • Self-harm and suicidal ideation
  • Sexual Assault
  • Sleeping issues
  • Substance abuse
  • Trauma

What I can offer:

I approach counselling with the aim of helping people explore themselves and meet the version of themselves they aspire to become. I aim to treat everyone with respect, empathy and curiosity. If you were my client, I’d want to allow you to feel safe enough to be your honest self and feel wholly accepted by me.

Counselling can offer an opportunity to those who require support in discovering themselves while also helping them make sense of the world around them and how they are a part of that world.

If you are interested in working with me:

I offer in-person (In Coventry), telephone and video call sessions to adults and in-person sessions to adolescents.

If you are interested in working with me, please either reach out via email or press the "Book Intro Call" button to schedule your free half-hour consultation. Once I have received your request, I'll reach out through email to confirm.
