About me
Hello and welcome,
My name is Tina Fair and I am a qualified and accredited counsellor. I work with both couples and individuals and am based in Lybster, Caithness. I also work online and by telephone if you are unable to visit in person.
Our relationships affect every area of our lives and I support people to have better, more fulfilling relationships both with themselves and with others.
Our primary relationship is with ourselves and when this breaks down we can experience symptoms such as anxiety, depression, apathy, addiction, anger issues and low self esteem. Often these symptoms are longstanding and seemingly have no clear cause. I seek to work with you to explore and resolve the unconscious negative patterns and beliefs that create these symptoms leaving you free to enjoy life.
Relationships with others can be difficult even when both parties have the best of intentions. Communication can break down leaving us confused, hurt and frustrated. We constantly argue, struggling to understand each other and feeling like we're going around in circles. I support couples to communicate effectively, resolve conflict and ultimately have more harmonious and fulfilling relationships.
If you would like a brief, informal chat about your situation or would like to book an appointment please feel free to contact me on 07423686628/tinadfair@gmail.com.

My previous relevant experience includes a total of nearly 20 years supporting, learning about and learning from people in a variety of settings including a drug rehabilitation centre, prisons and housing projects. Prior to qualifying the core of my work involved using counselling skills to support people coping with addictions, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, emotional distress, bereavement, loss, relationship problems, abuse and trauma.
As my private practice has developed over the last 10 years I have reached a fuller appreciation of the impact of how we relate to ourselves, others and the world around us on our levels of happiness and satisfaction. Key to all of this is our knowledge, understanding and acceptance of ourselves.
