Tim Charnock Dip.Couns MBACP Young people, Adults, Self Esteem, Addictions
You have already done the most difficult bit; realised that something isn't working for you right now. Whether you're needing to address current issues or something you've been holding on to for a long time, I can assist you to explore these, work through them and find a new way forward. We can design personalised tools to help you live your life with more understanding and happiness. I'm able to offer you Integrative Therapeutic one to one counselling, on-line Zoom therapy, Telephone therapy and also Walk and Talk therapy. My role is simply to help you find your way on your journey.
The aim of counselling is to create a safe, non-judgmental, confidential and supportive environment for you to express yourself and be heard. A place where you are able to explore and resolve what’s brought you to therapy safely. Whether this is something of long standing significance to you or something more immediate in your life.
With the chance to explore and understand how you relate to yourself internally and with others around you, you will have the opportunity to make new more informed choices for yourself in moving your life forward and potentially leaving your issues behind you.
I have had the pleasure of being able to help many clients take back their power of personal understanding and find the ability to choose a new way to live.
Having a long time experience as a senior counselor at a prominent Barnstaple based charity I bring a wide range of counselling skills and styles to create a style that is as individual as you are.
I am based centrally in Barnstaple, however, I am also able to offer on-line Zoom therapy, Telephone therapy or Walk and Talk therapeutic meetings which may suit your needs better.
Please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss any particular needs or requirements.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
