About me
Do you feel your potential in life is thwarted by past or present difficulties or trauma? Has this undermined your equilibrium, confidence, and self-esteem? Do you feel disempowered and unable to move forward? Sometimes, life's challenges can prevent us from forming healthy relationships with ourselves and others, leaving us unable to thrive.
I work from a cosy cabin in my garden in Totnes, Devon, and also offer online therapy for those living further away and am happy to support you with a range of issues (see below)
I am a UKCP-accredited Psychotherapist, trained by the Karuna Institute, specialising in mindfulness-based trauma-informed psychotherapy. I support adults and young adults who are experiencing emotional or mental distress and help them find more ease, balance, and meaning in their lives. With a Post-graduate Diploma in Mindfulness-based Core Process Psychotherapy, I integrate ancient contemplative understandings with modern psychotherapeutic theories, and all my work is trauma-informed.
As a relational psychotherapist, I work intuitively, adjusting to you and your needs. My work is underpinned by compassion and mindfulness, focusing on how distress and trauma affect relationships, self-esteem, work, and general well-being. If it suits you, we will also explore somatic work (focusing on the body and how emotions manifest physically). Together, we will build a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, addressing your life patterns and behaviors that may keep you stuck.
I work with adults and young adults of all ages and genders, supporting them with a range of challenges, including:
- Relationship issues
- Abuse (including childhood trauma and trauma from intimate relationships)
- Stress and anxiety
- Depression
- Family issues
- Divorce
- Illness
- Low self-esteem, self-doubt, and imposter syndrome
- Difficulties at work or in education
- PTSD
Psychotherapy is a journey full of unexpected twists and turns, which we will navigate together. Whether you're looking to address long-standing trauma or navigate current life stressors, I offer a compassionate, safe, and supportive environment to explore and heal. Please give me a call and we can plan our next steps, including a free introductory session.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer a warm, thoughtful and non-judgemental space where you can bring whatever is on your mind. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or are simply curious to understand yourself better, I aim to support you in making sense of your experience and finding new ways forward. I work in a collaborative and down-to-earth way, paying careful attention to what feels most relevant and helpful for you.
My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from a range of psychological models including psychodynamic, body-based, and mindfulness-informed perspectives. I’m trained in Core Process Psychotherapy, which brings an awareness of how past experiences, emotions, and patterns are held in the body, and how change can emerge through gentle and respectful attention to what’s happening in the present moment.
We might work through talking and reflection, or—if it feels useful—pay attention to how your thoughts and emotions show up in your body. For clients who experience vivid dreams or have an active imagination, we can explore dreams and inner images as a way of connecting with your deeper self. If it feels relevant or resonates with you, I also welcome working with transpersonal aspects of experience—such as meaning, connection, and a sense of something larger than oneself.
At its heart, my work is about meeting you where you are and supporting you in a process of self-discovery, healing, and growth. Whether you're navigating a crisis, dealing with long-standing challenges, or seeking a space to reflect, I bring presence, care and curiosity to each session.
