About us

The Psychology Rooms is a large mental health clinic based in Glasgow City Centre. We also hold appointments at Rosshall Braehead Clinic. We offer therapy in a friendly and comfortable setting with clinic rooms designed for adults and children. We can also offer appointments by telephone and zoom. We are open from 9am to 8pm to accommodate school and work hours. We have established relationships with psychiatry, physiotherapy, dieticians, medical consultants and private GPs to ensure that your care needs are completely met and that your medical team works together. 

We offer:

  • Psychological assessment for surgery (cosmetic and medical)
  • Psychological preparation for coping with surgery or genetic testing
  • Parenting groups

  • Mental health first aid training for staff wellness.

Our clinicians have held senior NHS posts in CAMHS, adult mental health and hospital services. We therefore offer a range of therapies to suit all difficulties and have expertise in working with the overlap between physical health/pain and mental health.

The Psychology Rooms has several senior clinical psychologists who have worked in medical specialities therefore have expertise in the two way relationship between poor mental health and pain/poor physical health. 

With additional training in EMDR for children, Dr McNeill meets the EMDR UK regulations that allow her to offer EMDR to those under the age of 14.

Our Counselling Psychologist, Dr Squires is an expert in eating disorders having worked in NHS inpatient and outpatient services for eating disorder.

Dr Negar Khozoee , Clinical Psychologist works in the prestigious sleep research unit and can offer new therapies for poor sleep. 

Maria Rodriguez loves to provide therapy for young people through play, art and poetry.

Dr Ansari and Dr Boyle work in NHS weight management and are expert in support weight loss and health behaviour change

Our expert witness team are trained to produce court ready, robust reports and undertake cross examination in court. Dr McNeill is trained as an expert witness by University of Aberdeen,.
