I specialise in work issues, relationship issues, loss and bereavement. I have solid experience of working with young adults as well as adults. I believe that by providing a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space in which to talk I empower clients to explore their feelings and thoughts. I try to understand the deep emotional narrative so that the client can gain a better understanding of themselves. I offer face to face counselling as well as remote counselling and I do both short term and long term therapy.

I am an integrative therapist and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. My background is in law - I trained as a Barrister and worked in a solicitor's office. I also worked in television for twelve years making documentary films.

As an integrative counsellor I believe each client is unique and no single modality suits all. This means that I work with psychodynamic principles, person-centred theory and cognitive behavioural therapy. I believe that early relationships can have an impact on us and how we attach to others in later life. I also believe that given a safe supportive space we are able to fulfil our potential and we can start making decisions from a position of self awareness. Research has shown that one of the most important things in therapy is the relationship between the therapist and client. I believe that I offer a sensitive, caring and thoughtful space for the client to find themselves. Having worked in the law and media industry for many years I have experience of dealing with a diverse range of people and issues. I recognise the stresses and pressures that can be part of working life.

I work with individual adults and my rate is £70 per 50 minute session. Free initial telephone session.
