About me

Single Session Therapy (SST)
My name is Sue and I offer Single Session Therapy to adults. This is focused support when you need it and without long waiting lists or ongoing commitment. It’s a calm, practical, structured conversation that helps you understand what’s happening, decide what you need, and leave with something genuinely useful - a clearer perspective, a plan, or a sense of steadiness. Follow-up sessions can be arranged.

With over 16 years as a BACP Counsellor and over a decade as an ILM Level 5 Coach, I offer a modern blend of therapeutic depth and coaching clarity. Sessions are available online or in person in Wrexham, including Saturdays, and begin with a short phone-call assessment so we can shape the session around what matters most to you right now. If you feel you would benefit from regular sessions we can discuss that as each person will have individual needs.

I also offer Counselling & Coaching for Children and Young People (from School Year 6 upwards)

I offer gentle, age‑appropriate counselling and coaching for children and young people from Year 6 upwards. This stage brings bigger feelings and new pressures, and I provide a steady, reassuring space where they can talk, draw, explore and make sense of what they’re experiencing.

I support worries about friendships, confidence, school stress, changes at home and the many challenges of growing up. My maturity and experience - as a counsellor, parent and grandparent - help young people feel safe and help families feel reassured. The blend of counselling and coaching gives them both emotional support and practical tools they can use day‑to‑day.

As a School Counsellor with Wrexham County Borough Council (WCBC) I have worked with children and young people in several schools in the Wrexham and Cheshire area.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
