About me
Welcome to my profile. I am a fully qualified counsellor, clinical supervisor and accredited member of the National Counselling Society. I pride myself on being down to earth and very nurturing towards the relationship that I have with my clients. I tailor my practice to suit each individual client and work in an empathetic and non judgemental way. I am passionate about creating a safe space, in which clients can feel heard and supported. I work with many different issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, abuse, addiction, stress, pain management and couples counselling.
I work as a Pluralistic Counsellor and subsequently shape my sessions to suit each individual client. The main styles I practice are Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I also work with Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and REBT.
My sessions always begin with an Initial Consultation, in which I get to know you and the nature of what has brought you to therapy. This also gives us the opportunity to discuss the best way of working together. Then the sessions are normally conducted weekly - I offer face to face, online and telephone counselling options.
