About me
Hi, my name is Stacey.
Sincerely, well done for getting this far into your journey and seeking support.
I offer honest, down-to-earth counselling for people who want real support, not jargon or judgement. I work in a genuine, human way - showing up as myself and meeting you as you are. Sessions are a safe, relaxed space where you won't have to worry about having the right words or a clear plan, we can figure it out together. My focus is to truly understand what is going on for you, and work alongside you at your own pace, supporting you in a practical, real and compassionate way to get you to where you want to be.
My counselling space is safe, comfortable, warm, and always welcoming. I know counselling can seem daunting, and opening up can be scary, but it doesn't have to be clinical. Come in, curl up on the sofa with a hot drink, maybe even a blanket and take a deep breath. When you are settled, you will find opening up much easier. W/C and ample free parking are available too.
If it feels right for you, please reach out and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Let's get you to where you want to be

Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Counselling.
Since graduating, I have had several years experience working as a counsellor and asssessor at a busy communty hub and GP practice in Gloucestershire. I thoroughly enjoyed the wide variety of people I got to meet and support, as well as the opportunity to offer counselling to people who might not else have the means to access it.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
