About me
You may be facing a particular challenge or feeling like life has lost its meaning. Perhaps you're seeking greater self-understanding or wanting to shift patterns that no longer serve you. I believe healing begins with connection. I work relationally, valuing the therapeutic relationship as a space for insight, growth, and transformation. I bring authenticity, compassion, and curiosity to each session, offering a non-judgmental space where your experiences are fully heard and respected. I have a special interest in eating disorders and body image issues. For the past three years, I've worked with a charity specialising in this area.
As an integrative therapist, I mainly draw from psychodynamic and humanistic approaches. I also incorporate somatic awareness in sessions and I work from a trauma-informed perspective. I'm an active participant in the therapy, offering feedback, insight, and gentle challenges. My aim is for you to leave therapy with more resilience, self-belief, and clarity.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Masters (MA) in counselling and psychotherapy UWE (level 7)
- Counselling skills certificate, University of West of England
I have been a volunteer therapist in Sweda - a specialist charity for eating disorders - for the past three years. Working with individuals affected by eating disorders and body image issues has deepened my understanding of the complex relationship between food, body image and emotional regulation.
Before becoming a therapist, I have worked for 15 years as a midwife within the NHS, supporting people across a variety of settings.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I know finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. I offer a free 30-minute consultation so we can connect and see if working together feels right for you. You may only need a few sessions to navigate a tough period or a particular challenge. Alternatively, you may prefer a longer therapeutic journey to explore longstanding patterns and difficulties.
