About me
A safe space to be heard, understood and truly yourself.
Hello, I’m Shikeira, a proud mum and qualified person-centred therapist, and I’m the founder of Blossoming Kind Integrative Touch & Talk Therapy.
Perhaps you’ve been holding things together for everyone else while quietly struggling yourself. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally drained, disconnected from who you are, or simply unsure of what comes next.
You may be struggling with your confidence or self-worth, navigating a difficult relationship, experiencing grief or loss, adjusting to a major life change, or carrying emotions that feel difficult to make sense of.
Or perhaps you can’t quite put your finger on what’s wrong, you just know that something doesn’t feel right anymore.
Whatever has brought you here, taking that first step towards counselling can feel daunting. You may wonder whether you’ll be judged, whether your experiences are “serious enough”, or whether talking about difficult things will actually help.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you reach out.
At Blossoming Kind, I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can slow down, breathe, and be heard without having to pretend that everything is okay.
How I Can Support You
As a person centred therapist, I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role isn’t to tell you what you should do or who you should be. Instead, I’ll walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity and understanding, helping you explore what you’re experiencing and what you need.
Together, we can gently explore the thoughts, feelings, patterns and experiences that may be affecting your life, relationships and sense of self.
I support adults experiencing a range of challenges, including:
- Anxiety and feelings of overwhelm
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Relationship difficulties
- Grief and loss
- Life transitions and uncertainty
- Emotional difficulties
- Feeling stuck, lost or disconnected from yourself
- Difficult thoughts, feelings or experiences
- Struggles with self-worth and self-compassion.
You don’t need to know exactly where to begin. We can start wherever you are.
A Therapy Approach That Is Personal to You
No two people are the same, so I don’t believe therapy should be one-size-fits-all.
Our work together will be shaped around you, your needs and what feels comfortable for you. We can take things at a pace that allows you to feel safe, supported and able to reflect without pressure.
Alongside talking therapy, where appropriate, I may incorporate body-aware and integrative approaches such as somatic awareness, parts work, shadow work, breathwork and Reiki. These approaches can offer different ways of understanding yourself, reconnecting with your body and emotions, and developing greater self-awareness and self-compassion.
My aim is to help you develop a deeper sense of connection with yourself, build confidence in your own inner voice and feel more able to navigate life with greater self-trust.
When you work with me, you can expect:
- A warm, welcoming and confidential space
- To be listened to without judgement
- A genuine therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect
- Support that is tailored to your individual needs
- Space to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace
- Compassion and understanding when life feels difficult
- Encouragement to reconnect with your strengths and sense of self
- A safe space where you don’t have to have all the answers
- Sessions to Suit You
I offer counselling online, by telephone and face-to-face, giving you the flexibility to choose the way of working that feels most comfortable and accessible for you.
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
Sometimes, we become so used to coping that we forget we’re allowed to ask for support.
You may have spent a long time putting other people first, pushing difficult feelings aside, or simply trying to get through each day. Perhaps you’re ready for something to change, but you’re not sure where to start.
You don’t have to wait until things become unbearable.
Counselling can give you a space to pause, be heard and begin to understand what’s happening beneath the surface without judgement and without needing to have everything worked out.
I believe that feeling truly seen, heard and accepted can be the beginning of something meaningful.
If you’re ready to take that first step, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
You deserve a space where you can simply be you.
Warmly,
Shikeira

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
