Sarah Watson MA, Dip Psych, RMBACP
Hello, my name is Sarah and I am a fully qualified and experienced psychodynamic therapist. For the last 12 years, I have shaped my career in providing a therapeutic space for short term and long term therapeutic intervention within the local vicinity. I am passionate about my work and believe in therapy whole heartedly. This I am sure, reflects in my work which has been mainly in the voluntary, public and private sector.
Alongside my clinical work I also have extensive experience as a programme leader and trainer for BACP accredited counselling courses, from foundation to diploma qualifications in both therapeutic and psychodynamic counselling. I am a registered member with BACP and I offer psychodynamic therapy on a short or long term basis according to your needs.
Making a commitment to a therapeutic relationship can be a difficult decision for some. You could go as far to say, choosing the right therapist is like choosing your life partner. This alone can be challenging in itself. To help with this, I offer a 30 minute consultation to discuss your expectations, hopes and desires in what you would like to gain from therapy and for you to discover also, if my approach is right for you, prior to you making your decision.
Through the provision of a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space, which is solely set aside for you, is unique in itself. This encourages a trusting and supportive environment for you to explore your needs and any concerns you may have. Through the therapeutic process you may become more aware of yourself, highlighting your strengths and acknowledging where you hold yourself back.
Developing an honest, open and trustworthy relationship is the first step in developing a more informed sense of self, which will ultimately enable you to understand you and those around you in a more coherent and empathic manner.
Due to the current climate sessions are currently available online via skype.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
