About me
Hi, I’m Sarah, I offer in person sessions in Cardiff and online sessions for clients based anywhere in the UK. Our sessions will be a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace which feels right for you. I have a warm, relational approach through which we will work together to bring fuller understanding of yourself and your life. I will support you to navigate the parts of life which you’ve found difficult to face and move through on your own.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, confused, anxious, low or numb, perhaps you have lost a relationship or something important to you and you don’t know how to go forward or feel like life is moving too fast, I am ready to listen to you with understanding and openness.
Starting therapy can feel daunting but you don’t have to face what you’re going through alone. Reach out to me to find out more and ask any questions you may have.
I am a BACP registered integrative psychotherapist and counsellor which means you know you’re in good hands with a therapist who’s part of a professional body.
Whatever your background and identity you can be sure of a safe and welcoming space.
Working with the past, in the present
I have experience in working with clients who are trying to make sense of how their past is affecting their present. Perhaps you know that something in your childhood is still impacting you and you want to understand it more? Perhaps there's a change you would like to make but you feel stuck in old patterns? Let's work through it together and find a way forward.
Spiritual or Religious Abuse
I also work with clients who are recovering from spiritual or religious abuse. The impact of this kind of abuse is often overlooked but I understand the deep lasting effect it can have. Perhaps you've been harmed by a religious organisation or through spirituality by someone close to you? We can work through the effects of this together.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
