About me
I am a warm, down-to-earth and compassionate integrative therapist. I offer a non-judgemental safe space to talk.
I would like to support you in your curiosity about yourself and to explore how experiences in your life have shaped who you are and how they may be having an impact on you today.
I am here to support you in better understanding yourself. You are the expert of you; I am here to work with your experiences, your feelings and your goals.
My hope is to work collaboratively together - it may not be my role to give you solutions or direct advice, but I can support you in finding the answers you have been looking for.
I have a background in Fine Art and I can work creatively with you if this is of interest to you - sometimes it can be difficult to find the words and there are other ways for us to express ourselves. Perhaps you already work creatively and want to use your writing, artwork or dreams to talk about in session.
ABOUT ME
I began my psychotherapy training because I wanted to have a better understanding of myself, to understand my patterns of behaviour and how my past experiences were impacting my present and subsequently my relationships with others.
I have had personal therapy myself, and can now appreciate just how impactful it is to truly be heard by someone who holds no judgment.
Developing a trusting relationship may be new or difficult for you, but developing one with your therapist over time may enable you to build better relationships elsewhere in your life.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
My work is relational - research shows that one of the most important factors of therapy is the therapeutic relationship, so it is important you find a therapist that is the right fit for you.
For this reason I offer a free initial 30 minute meeting - this can be either by telephone, online or at my practice in Leeds, so that I can discuss my approach with you and as an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.
I offer both short term and ongoing more in-depth work together.
