About me
I am a fully qualified, BACP registered, and experienced integrative psychotherapist, specialising in person centred therapy. I offer a warm, confidential, and non judgmental environment to talk and truly be heard. Working on an individual basis and tailoring the counselling to suit your needs allows me to apply the skills and techniques that are most effective for you. I work in a way that empowers you to develop the skills and the confidence needed to bring about long lasting, positive change.
Life can be cruel, change can be hard and its not always easy to process on your own.
Perhaps you are suffering with anxiety, panic disorder, or depression; feeling sad and hurt, or a deep sense of longing, frustration or anger? Life seems like an uphill struggle and you have lost all motivation. Maybe you have suffered emotional abuse, physical abuse or trauma? are having relationship issues and difficulty connecting with the people you love the most? Or maybe you are feeling lonely, like you have nobody to turn to or trust? Sometimes when there are family issues or there has been a death, separation, betrayal or change in the family, it can leave you feeling like you need somebody unbiased and non judgmental to talk to. There are times when life can just become too much, it seems overwhelming and the smallest things get to you. You don't have to struggle alone, you can get through this and things can get better, I am here to help you.
I have experience working with clients of all ages, suffering from a wide range of issues. This includes, but is not limited to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, anger, chronic childhood abuse, historical sexual abuse, manic depression, PTSD, identity, sexual orientation, profound sadness and despair, frustration, stress at work, OCD, bullying, low self esteem/ confidence issues, menopause, miscarriage, relationship issues, serious health conditions/ change, personality disorder.
I offer a free, confidential, no obligation 30 minute consultation where we can discuss things in more detail and decide if we can work together. All subsequent sessions are charged at £60 per session.
I am conveniently based on Portland Street in Central Manchester, which is a 10 minute walk from Piccadilly train station and 5 minutes from Oxford road, and the coach/ bus station. The nearest metrolink stop is St Peters square and there are parking spaces (on a meter), outside the building.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (cert no. 339311), and abide by the BACP ethical framework for best practice. All work is fully insured.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
In addition to running my own private practice, I also volunteer and work as a counsellor for a charitable organisation which provides wellbeing support to adults who are, or have encountered difficult life events/ change/ trauma/ Abuse/ Anxiety and or Depression.
I also work with disabled young adults, empowering them to believe in their own abilities and develop independence by exposing them to those things in life that they otherwise would not experience.
I believe in diversity, acceptance, and every persons ability to grow and change from within. My own life events and personal experiences with counselling enhance my ability to really empathise with others and prompted my decision to become a psychotherapist.
