About me

Welcome. My name is Sarah. I'm a Clinical Psychologist and accredited EMDR practitioner. I've worked in both the NHS and private sectors for over 20 years. I specialise in women's mental health and work across the lifespan. I predominantly help and support women who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, both past and present. My area of expertise is the perinatal period. This can be a challenging time and I can support you with the changes in identity and adjustment to parenthood. I also work with women around birth trauma, miscarriage and loss. Working with couples and families when appropriate.

Training, qualifications & experience

I like to use an integrative approach to tailor the intervention to meet the needs of my clients. Along with my clinical doctorate training I have extensive training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy), CFT (Compassion Focused Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Couples Therapy.

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych)
  • EMDR Therapist training with the EMDR Academy. Accredited EMDR Practitioner (EMDR UK / Europe)
  • CBT training at the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre
  • CFT training with The Compassionate Mind Foundation
  • Behavioural Couples Therapy - Royal Holloway London

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
