About me
Life can be tough, and sometimes the usual ways of coping just aren’t enough. When that happens, therapy can offer the support you need to shift from merely surviving to truly thriving. I offer a calm, supportive and confidential space to help you deal with all that life throws at you - without judgement or expectation.
My goal is to help you create meaningful change. Therapy isn’t just about talking through your problems - it’s about making space for new insights, finding out what’s really driving your struggles, and exploring how you can move forward. Whether it’s stress, anxiety, depression, or just feeling stuck, I’ll help you make sense of where you are, and work with you to get to where you want to be.
I practice gestalt therapy, which is led by you. Talking is a big part of what we do but we can also be creative to increase awareness. I will work with whatever you bring. I won't tell you what to do. I’ll work with you as a guide in understanding what’s going on and why. I won't judge you. I really understand that life is difficult at times.
Therapy provides a space to explore difficult feelings such as anger, resentment, guilt and shame. By exploring these feelings and experiences you can determine the root of the cause. Building awareness through exploration helps you to find different ways to address those issues and ultimately discover the changes you could make. When you are suffering or struggling with difficult emotions, it can make such a difference to know you have some support. I will support you to work through your difficult thoughts and feelings, at a pace that suits you, in order to bring about positive change.
I have spent many years working as a solicitor in the City of London. I became a counsellor because talking about my experiences allowed me to get through some difficult times and to make sense of the thoughts whirling in my head. I hope this is what counselling could do for you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I work with adults in person and online. I offer a free 20 minute telephone call where we can talk about what you want from counselling. You can ask any questions you have and we can see if what I offer might be a good fit for you. Finding the right counsellor is vital as the relationship we build is based on trust to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be yourself and talk freely.
