About me

A warm welcome...

It takes courage to seek counselling... I understand this and would like to reassure you; my priority is to ensure you feel valued, accepted and respected.

I understand and respect that each client is unique, has walked their own path, with their own story to tell... I feel privileged to be a part of that journey and aim to enable and empower my clients to make positive changes in their lives.

My counselling qualifications are very thorough - above degree level. I hold a specialist PostGraduate Diploma in Counselling Children & Young People. I'm a member of the BACP.

For 61/2 years I've been the West Mercia Specialist Therapist; providing specialist trauma therapy for child & adult victims of rape & sexual abuse, in crisis, across 4 counties; Shropshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire & Gwent. I see clients, often referred to me by West Mercia police at The Glade; forensic Sexual Assault Referral Centre, Worcester & Telford & I am highly experienced in pre-trial therapy.

I offer private counselling in Herefordshire & Malvern, Worcestershire, for adults of all ages, struggling with a variety of issues. I also offer specialist child counselling for children aged 4-11 and counselling for young people aged 11-21.

I have experience in working with clients of all ages. Some of the issues I have experience in dealing with are; children & survivors of severe neglect, violence, rape, sexual abuse. PTSD & RRTSD. Family issues; separation and divorce, relationship issues, loss and grief, bullying, life stage transitions, sexuality, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, work related stress, bullying, abuse, low self-esteem and lack of confidence. I have over 16 years experience in working within the mental health sector, including a great deal of experience in working with people suffering with problems such as obsessive compulsive disorder, bi-polar, dementia, terminal illness, their families and care support workers.
