About me
Hello there, finding the courage to ask for help and finding the right person for you can be a massive challenge. Please read a little more about me and if my areas of experience match your needs, we can arrange a free initial talk.
Please email me to have any questions or concerns answered, more information is available on my Facebook page S.H.E Holistic Counselling and Therapy.
I qualified in Person Centred Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy CBT in 2017, we can work together with you in the driving seat, at your pace, or if you need more direction in a structured format to gain control of certain areas, then CBT may plan your way.
I have been working for a Mental Health Charity for the last 9 years supporting in various roles, from preventing suicide, specific support groups, wellbeing courses and Management. I am the lead for Trauma Risk Management (TRiM). I have worked with the Care System in Shropshire, supporting staff in the NHS and Shropshire Council. I have supported hundreds of people after traumatic events including COVID-19, major traffic accidents and life-changing disability or constant work stress. I have experience working with people with early life trauma which has held them back from thriving, helping them to rebuild their confidence and belief in themselves and make life choices that will help them achieve their aims. Explaining various support techniques, to build their personal tool kit, and building resilience before doing the deeper work.
I am qualified and experienced in working with grief and loss. This has a broad reach, from the death of someone close, long-term care of a loved one, loss of a marriage, job loss, disability and many more. I help you to come to terms with the change or helping you to find a new way to live as we thrive with connection and a loss can turn us inward. I strive to help you with trusting to open up.
I spent a year counselling people in a women's refuge, many years working for a bereavement charity and I have had various training in Mental Health, MH First Aid and Emergency First Aid. I continually take extra training and regular Supervision.
I enjoyed a 2-year Shamanic Practitioner training course, completed in 2008, and various energy training that informs how I work, holistically looking at mind, body and spirit/soul.
We can sit outside, walk around the grounds or walk in the nearby fields, weather permitting.
My focus is helping you find your inner voice, your life's purpose and your unique way to heal and shine. I work with you to explore your potential and develop your inner resources and creativity. Helping you work through your feelings and change negative energy into a creative direction.
I am based at Broadmeadow Holistic Centre 10 miles south of Shrewsbury on the A49, surrounded by trees, fields, horses, goats, dogs, chickens, a stream, and even a stone circle, with beautiful views of the South Shropshire Hills.
I have a private caravan, which is relaxing, spacious and a safe space. This is not shared and the location keeps your privacy. There is adequate parking right next to my room, or if you are being dropped off and picked up they can spend time in the nearby Pound Inn or walking in the countryside at Broadmeadow.
There are 3 steps up to get into my room and toilets nearby.
I provide one-off or regular meetings to suit your needs.
