About me

Are you finding yourself feeling regularly anxious, burnt out, stuck in patterns that feel unbreakable? Have you noticed that your emotions or reactions cause you to feel negatively about yourself, you carry guilt or shame with you? It may even feel impossible to be your authentic self with others. Or maybe you constantly replay situations in your mind, anticipate the worst-case scenarios and feel unable to switch off?

I can help you break these patterns. I am BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and EMDR practitioner based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, working with adults in Tring, Berkhamsted, St Albans and surrounding areas, as well as offering online therapy across the UK.

I specialise in supporting people experiencing:

  • Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD)
  • Panic attacks and health anxiety
  • Social anxiety
  • OCD and intrusive thoughts
  • Trauma and PTSD (including childhood cPTSD)
  • Low self-esteem and perfectionism
  • Perinatal anxiety, birth trauma and infertility
  • LGBTQIA+ related challenges and identity exploration

My Approach
I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR therapy to provide structured, evidence-based treatment that goes beyond coping strategies.

CBT helps us identify patterns in thinking and behaviour that maintain anxiety and low mood. EMDR can help painful memories lose their grip, so you're no longer ambushed by them in daily life.

Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate and goal-oriented. We work at a pace that feels manageable, with clear direction and measurable progress. My approach is trauma informed, as we try to build an understanding together what coping mechanisms, trauma responses and patterns served you in the past but might be getting in the way in the present. Once we have a good understanding of these, we can then start thinking together on how we can start to live your most authentic and content life, feeling more confident in experiencing all emotions and having new tools to choose actions based on your values rather than anxieties.

LGBTQIA+ Focus
Being LGBTQIA+ can bring a particular kind of exhaustion. The weight of navigating a world that wasn't always built with you in mind. Whether you are questioning your sexuality or gender identity, preparing to come out, or managing the impact of discrimination, rejection or family conflict, therapy can be a space where you don't have to explain or justify yourself.

I work with LGBTQIA+ clients at every stage of their journey. From early identity exploration to processing the cumulative impact of minority stress and internalised shame. I understand that anxiety, low self-esteem and trauma often show up differently when they are shaped by experiences of marginalisation, and I bring that understanding into every session.

You deserve a therapist who genuinely gets it. This is an explicitly affirming, non-judgmental space.

Perinatal Focus
The journey to parenthood can bring profound joy, but also anxiety, grief, and feelings that can be hard to admit out loud. If you are struggling with pregnancy anxiety, postnatal depression or anxiety, birth trauma, infertility, pregnancy after loss, or the relentless pressure of early parenting, you are not alone and you are not failing.

I support both birthing and non-birthing parents, recognising that this period looks different for everyone. Using CBT and EMDR, we can work through intrusive thoughts, process traumatic birth or pregnancy experiences, and help you feel more present and grounded in this chapter of your life, whatever that looks like for you.

You don't have to pretend to be coping. There is no version of this that is "too much" to bring to therapy.

Let's get in touch
Starting therapy can feel daunting. You don’t have to carry this alone. I offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation so you can ask questions and see if we're the right fit, with no obligation. I'd love to hear from you.
