About me
Hey, I'm Sam (she/her) ☺️
I'm an Integrative CBT Therapist offering online and in-person therapy sessions in Glasgow. I’m registered with BACP: 405580.
My approach has a focus on supporting you:
- to gain deeper self-understanding and self-acceptance
- to change unhelpful ways of thinking
- to change unwanted behaviours / unhealthy ways of coping
- to feeling more connected to yourself, others, and life

- Anxiety (inc Social Anxiety)
- People Pleasing (Fawn Response)
- ADHD
- Depression
- Self-Esteem / Self-Worth
- Trauma (inc Cptsd)
- Autism
- Relationship Difficulties:
Clients I work with often struggle with:
- Being hyper-vigilant of your environment or others’ moods
- Not knowing what you actually want / need
- Always putting others first
- Struggling with boundaries
- Finding it hard to say no without feeling guilty
- Feeling resentful
- Feeling disconnected from yourself, others, your body and/or life
- Struggling with conflict
- Avoidance
- Over-extending yourself and not knowing how to slow down or rest
- Saying yes when you mean no
- Fear of letting people down / disappointing others
- Feeling responsible for others’ emotions
My way of working
I offer a trauma-informed non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about what's on your mind to process and heal from difficult experiences (without feeling like a burden) whilst also supporting you to identify and change unhelpful patterns developed in the past that are still showing up in your present.
Our therapy will be a space just for you where I’ll encourage you to gain self-acceptance and grow into the person you want to be, with a life that feels aligned to your wants and needs.
I’m trained and registered as a CBT Therapist and integrate various therapeutic approaches such as person-centered therapy, ACT, somatic practices and parts-work (IFS) to offer therapy that is tailored to you and includes both practical coping tools, cognitive reframing and deeper emotional work.
I will support you to understand and cope with the different emotions and difficult thoughts you may experience and therapy gives you the tools to be 'your own therapist' once you've brought your therapy to an end.
The therapy I offer provides space & tools for you to learn how to fill up your own cup first (without labelling yourself as selfish or being weighed down with guilt). It helps you to understand yourself and your patterns at a deep level and it empowers you to make decisions that feel right for, including understanding your own needs + boundaries.
Therapy will also help you to create space between activating situations and your reactions so that you can learn how to pause and choose how to respond rather than feeling as though you aren’t in control of your responses.
I’m LGBTQIA+ and Neurodivergent-affirming in my practice.
Next Steps
The therapeutic relationship is an important part of the therapy process, and I recommend looking into a few different therapists to see who feels like the right fit for you in this chapter of your life.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
