About me

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist with expertise in trauma, complex trauma, relational trauma and attachment difficulties. I have worked within the NHS for more than 20 years and also worked within the community for charity mental health organisations as well as inpatient psychiatric settings.

I also have expertise working with victims, offenders, and witnesses in the criminal justice system, and I have provided therapy for clients of a wide range of ages and have given presentations.

My therapeutic approach is integrative which means I use different clinical techniques to fit individual need and presentation which may involve strands of CBT, Psychotherapy and general counselling. This approach has proven to be highly effective.

I completed my clinical training in Ealing, London working within Addictions, Community Mental Health Team, Older Adult Mental Health and with clients who had been ordered to attend therapy by court order. The client groups I have worked with have encompassed personality disorders, neurodiverse clients undiagnosed, relationship difficulties, as well as those who have suffered with abuse and domestic violence.

Further to my clinical work, I also teach at a University teaching postgraduate students therapeutic skills.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified integrative humanistic psychotherapist accredited by the Professional Standards Authority, UKCP and the NCPS which meets the highest standards in the UK.

I am endeavouring to qualify as a Counselling Psychologist when I will qualify later in 2025 following submission of my thesis. This will lead to HCPC Registration which is the registry body for doctors in the UK.

I work at the client's pace and have previously offered single session therapy which is ideal if you have not had therapy before and just wish to try it out. I have also offered short-term therapy as well as long-term therapy work. I often find an initial assessment is an ideal opportunity for us to discuss any future sessions if you wish to go ahead.
