About me
I am Samantha, a qualified and registered counsellor based in Northampton, offering a calm, compassionate, and confidential therapeutic space where you can explore your challenges without judgment. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, helping you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships, and to live with greater clarity, authenticity, and self-acceptance. I bring experience in working with clients who are navigating emotional distress, identity questions, relationship difficulties, and experiences that feel complex or difficult to articulate.
About You
At times life can feel confusing, painful, or uncertain. You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, low in mood, or struggling with loss or relationship difficulties. Perhaps you feel that something is missing, even if life looks “fine” on the surface. You might be trying to make sense of past experiences, finding yourself stuck in repeating patterns, or questioning your identity, meaning, or direction in life.
I work therapeutically with adults aged 18 and over experiencing a range of emotional and life challenges, including:
- Anxiety, stress, and panic
- Depression and low mood
- Anger
- Trauma
- Grief, loss, and bereavement
- Adverse childhood experiences and emotional neglect
- Relationship and family difficulties
- Supporting Neurodiversity and ADHD
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Identity, purpose, and life transitions
- Parenthood

My Approach
I take an integrative approach to therapy, weaving together different therapeutic models to meet you as an individual rather than applying a single method. Depending on what feels most helpful, we might explore your emotions, patterns of relating, or find ways to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and self-awareness.
At the heart of my work is an existential perspective, inviting reflection on the deeper questions that shape your life: who you are, what gives your life meaning, how you relate to others, and what it means to live authentically. I also work in an embodied way, recognising that our experiences are not only shaped by thoughts and emotions but also held in the body. By gently bringing awareness to physical sensations and embodied responses, we can access insight and understanding that words alone may not reach.
I offer sessions in-person in Northampton and Online.
Qualifications and Professional Registration
I have a Masters in Integrative Counselling. I am currently undertaking doctoral-level training in existential psychotherapy, which informs my clinical thinking and practice.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with its ethical framework.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
