About me
People usually come to therapy because something isn’t working. You might feel stuck in anxiety, caught in obsessive loops, or avoiding situations that are limiting your life. My role is to help you understand what’s maintaining these patterns and support you in changing them.
I offer a confidential, straightforward space where we focus on what’s actually happening for you, rather than trying to reassure or “fix” you. Therapy with me is collaborative and practical, with an emphasis on insight and tools you can use outside of sessions, to provide a solution focused outcome.
My work is integrative, drawing on Transactional Analysis, CBT, Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I specialise in exposure-based work for the treatment of OCD and phobias, helping clients gradually face feared situations, reduce avoidance and compulsions, and build tolerance for uncertainty. This work is structured and active, and always paced carefully and collaboratively.
Alongside OCD and phobia work, I support adults with anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, addiction, stress, life transitions (including menopause), disability, and experiences of abuse. Some clients come with a clear goal; others want to understand themselves better and change long-standing patterns.
Sessions are available for adults and offered face-to-face, online, or by telephone.
Exposure work isn’t about being pushed or overwhelmed — it’s about learning, step by step, that anxiety doesn’t have to run your life. If you’re looking for honest, focused therapy rather than reassurance or platitudes, you’re welcome to get in touch.
I also offer walk and talk therapy sessions, and single session therapy.

Further information
Counselling can help you understand what’s driving your thoughts, feelings, and behaviour, particularly when patterns start to feel stuck or overwhelming. My approach is integrative and practical, shaped by Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, and Transactional Analysis, and tailored to what you need rather than a fixed model.
At the core of my work is a collaborative, non-judgmental relationship where you can speak openly and reflect honestly. Alongside this, I use CBT-based approaches to help identify and change unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours. Where appropriate, this includes structured work such as graded exposure, psychoeducation, and practical strategies you can use between sessions.
I also draw on Transactional Analysis to explore how early experiences and learned roles can affect current relationships, self-esteem, and decision-making. This can help make sense of long-standing patterns and support more balanced ways of relating to yourself and others.
Sessions are focused on understanding what’s maintaining the difficulty and supporting meaningful change, while always working at a pace that feels manageable.
