About me

I’m a qualified therapist and I offer both long-term and time-limited therapy.

I am particularly interested in relationships.
I believe that our well-being and sense of self are strongly linked to our relationship to the world around us and the other people in it. This includes our parents or the people who raised us, our intimate partners, work colleagues, friends and perhaps the relationships we long for.

Something I hold in mind with everyone I work with, is their unique identity and how this shapes their experience in the world. What are the expectations that are placed upon you because of who you are and the body you are in? How does this show up in challenges day-to-day? How might you have been treated or (mis)understood by those around you?

Whether you're navigating a specific difficulty in the present, or something that has been impacting you for some time, I provide a non-judgemental space to explore and make sense of your experiences, whilst also considering what changes might support you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an integrative therapist: I trained at the Minster Centre in London, one of the leading Psychotherapy and Counselling training institutions in Europe

I have experience working for a leading mental health charity and bereavement service, a low-cost therapy service and over 10 years as a helpline volunteer with Switchboard, an LGBTQ+ charity.

This diverse background has given me a broad understanding of the challenges people face in different areas of life.

I have experience working with a range of issues, including:

  • Depression, anxiety, and loneliness
  • Bereavement
  • ADHD
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Low self-esteem
  • Anger
  • Sex and sexual health
  • Experiences of discrimination related to identity including; homophobia, transphobia, sexism, racism, ableism, and internalised stigma

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
