About me
Hi, I’m Sabrina, welcome to Latch Therapy.
I’m an NCPS Accredited Integrative Therapist offering counselling and therapy to adults.
Starting therapy can feel daunting. Sitting down with someone you’ve never met and talking about personal or difficult things isn’t always easy. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what to say - we can figure that out together.
I want therapy to be somewhere you can bring all of yourself...tears, laughter, humour, uncertainty, silence or even the occasional swear word. Whilst I take my work seriously, I don’t believe therapy always has to feel serious.
I’m warm, genuine, compassionate and non-judgemental. I’m interested in getting to know you, rather than reducing you to a diagnosis or collection of symptoms.
I’ve also sat in the other chair and experienced therapy as a client myself. I think that matters. I understand how vulnerable it can feel to open up to someone and how important it is to feel safe, seen, comfortable and understood.
I’m neurodivergent, which contributes to my understanding that there isn’t one “right” way to think, communicate, process emotions or experience the world.
What therapy with me is like
My approach is integrative and relational, which means I adapt how I work to you rather than expecting you to fit into one particular model of therapy.
At the heart of my work is the relationship we build together.
I don’t believe people need fixing. I believe we all have an innate capacity for healing and growth. Sometimes, we simply need a safe therapeutic relationship in which to rediscover it.
Therapy with me is collaborative. You are the expert on yourself, your experiences and your life. I’m not here to tell you how you should feel or what you should do. Instead, we’ll work together with curiosity and compassion to understand your experiences, relationships, emotions and patterns, including where they may have come from and what you might want to change.
You might be struggling with something specific, trying to make sense of trauma, grieving a loss, finding relationships difficult or noticing the same patterns repeating themselves. Or perhaps you just know that something doesn’t feel right, but you can’t quite put your finger on why.
Either is okay.

A limited number of reduced fee appointments are available for students and people on lower incomes.
Face to face sessions take place in a private Coach House in North West Birmingham, a couple of miles outside Birmingham city centre, with excellent transport links, bus stops on the doorstep and off-road parking.
Face-to-face appointments are currently available on Tuesday's.
I also offer online sessions, allowing you to access sessions from your own space - although you may occasionally see my Golden Retriever, Kenji, pop up to say hello.
Typically therapy sessions are on a weekly basis, however I work flexibly and offer fortnightly, one off, extended, short & long term and walk and talk therapy in nature.
Let’s talk first
Finding the right therapist matters. Qualifications and experience are important, but so is feeling that you can actually talk to the person sitting opposite you.
That’s why I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute consultation.
It’s a chance to tell me a little about what’s brought you to therapy, ask any questions and see how it feels talking together.
There’s no pressure to book afterwards.
