About me
Hi there,
I believe life is simply too short to live in the turmoil, anger, confusion, frustration or habits which keeps us stuck where we don't want to be. Sometimes we may not know exactly why we feel the way we do, but we know we don't want to remain there! The GOOD NEWS is life doesn't have to be this way. We each with support have the power to change, to grow and live out our best life.
My approach is unique in that I utilise both Counselling & Coaching to help my clients learn the skills they need, to build the lasting positive change they desire for their lives. I am trained to Master's level and place high importance on continual professional development having completed further training in trauma therapies such as internal family systems (IFS) and sensorimotor Psychotherapy so you'll be in safe hands.
I'd love to hear from you... please email/phone me for a FREE 15 min chat to see if I'm the right therapist for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have worked as a teacher in both London and Northern Ireland before retraining and gaining a BSc with honours in psychology. This lead to employment with the mental health charity Mind for 6 yrs in crisis intervention. I believe this role gave me a valuable insight into many aspects of mental ill-health increasing my passion and compassion for those struggling in this way.
I went on to study at the University of East London completing a post-graduate diploma PG Dip in integrative counselling & coaching, before doing research within the NHS which led to an MSc with distinction. I hold membership of the British Psychological Society BPS and the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists BACP with accreditation.
I have completed further training in complex trauma using Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to ensure I work at the highest possible standard. I have also undertaken further training which enables me to work with Young people 13-18yrs.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
