About me

Is something in your life feeling stuck or anxiety ridden? Together we can look at what the stuckness is and untangle it. I facilitate support for you to talk about what's bothering you one step at a time. I offer a warm, accepting space where you can be yourself and explore what is going on for you at your own pace.

My approach is relational, showing my humanness and not hiding behind a facade of theory. I listen not only to what is said, but also to the emotions and meaning behind it. I may gently reflect what I notice or ask questions to help you explore things differently, a bit like holding up a mirror to you. Where helpful, I also bring attention to body awareness and emotional experience.

Sessions are client led, and there is no 'right way' to begin, we can take things step by step together.

I work with people with a range of concerns, including those who feel overwhelmed, bereaved, anxious, wanting to work on their self-esteem. I also support neurodivergent clients, drawing on my lived experience as an AuDHD counsellor. I understand how important it is for therapy to feel accessible, and I am happy to adapt sessions to suit your needs.

I offer online counselling, providing flexibility and the comfort of attending from your own space.

I am a non-binary counsellor and welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities. I aim to offer a non-judgemental, affirming space where you feel respected, validated and understood.

I offer a free 10-minute intro call so you can ask questions and see whether I am the right fit for you, giving you a sense of how we might work together.

In our first session, we will get to know each other, explore what brings you to therapy, and think about what you would like to focus on.

I work holistically, our work together will be based on your individual needs. We can work out an individualised Wellbeing Plan tailored to you and what it is you want the main focus to be during sessions. I sometimes use somatic bodywork building awareness for nervous system regulation for release and healing.

Training, qualifications & experience

I started my counselling journey with a Foundation in Counselling Level 3, then went on to qualify with a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling. I am further training (post grad) with a CPCAB Dip in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Level 5, this ends in July '26. This course has taught me a lot on attachment theory and working with clients long term, allowing for more in depth relational work. I have studied Carolyn Spring courses on working with and being trauma informed. I have had two years of placement experience working with Adults within an Autism service.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
