About me
Hi there and welcome to my page.
I'm Rosie, and my Counselling practice is Youth Counselling North Devon. I provide specialist support for children, teenagers, and young adults aged 8- 30 on a 1:1 basis.
Clients should feel supported and heard without judgement. I feel it's so important to facilitate a safe space for clients to explore what's going on for them. All sessions are tailored to suit individual needs, keeping young clients at the heart of the work.
I work in a very person-centred way, encouraging young clients to lead the session in terms of what we discuss and the activities we do. This provides an element of control over their therapy and can be very empowering, building on confidence and self-esteem.
No issue is 'silly' or 'not a big deal' if it's affecting their day-to-day life and wellbeing, it's something worth exploring.
I am trained as an Integrative Counsellor, which means I can draw from different theories and strategies to work on specific issues. I also hold an enhanced DBS check.
Whether you are looking for support for yourself or a young person, if you are looking for counselling with a difference, please feel free to get in touch with me.
Through my own experience of Counselling, I personally know how challenging it can be to sit down and talk to someone. So if you or your child can relate to this, I really do hear you.
This is why I offer a range of services that are tailored to suit each individual, as I feel Counselling should be accessible to everyone.
I am not here to give you advice or to have all the answers. But I can guarantee consistent and professional support, helping to build self-awareness, confidence and understanding, as well as building on skills for clients to support themselves once their Counselling journey has come to an end.
If you would like a free consultation session, please feel free to get in touch. It's important to find a Counsellor that you feel happy with and can provide the correct support.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
