About me
From time to time most of us will find ourselves being overwhelmed or confused by our experience of life. Friends and family can be there to support us, but it may be helpful to talk to someone independent of your close circle. It may even be, that those close to us are the cause of our difficulties. I offer a different way of exploring life's struggles.
You may have a very specific challenge you are facing, perhaps a loss, change of circumstance, or relationship difficulties. Perhaps you are experiencing a more existential sense of feeling lost in life. I can help you explore what is going on and help you to find a more settled and stable way of being.
I offer support with many issues including:
Abuse, Addictions, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Child related issues, Cultural issues, Depression, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Loss, Obsessions, OCD, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self-esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Work related issues
Training, qualifications & experience
We are all different, I bring in different skills to suit each person but my practice is underpinned by a grounding in existential philosophy this is backed up by a practical approach to what it is like to navigate life. I come from a creative arts background, where appropriate I will introduce creative ways of exploring a client's world. I find a playful curiosity is often a way of revealing parts of ourselves we have not been able to see before. I offer an open but safe environment to find answers to life's challenging questions.
I began my clinical training with a PGDip in integrative psychotherapy.
I then went on to complete my MA in Psychotherapy &Counselling following an existential-phenomenological pathway.
Whilst working with an organization in South Oxfordshire I was able to complete an adolescent training and go on to have experience working with young people over fifteen.
I work in private practice and continue to work for the community based service in South Oxfordshire.
Sessions are fifty minutes, once a week. I offer online support as well as face-to-face sessions from my therapy rooms in Hertfordshire. I am also able to offer sessions in central London.
Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
