About me

I am a qualified, highly experienced and effective counsellor working across the Worthing and Adur areas, providing professional, friendly, approachable counselling and therapy.

I have a wide range of experience and success in working with many difficulties and concerns that you may face, including anxiety, panic attacks, depression, relationship difficulties, anger, trauma, learning disability, childhood experiences and more.

My focus in my counselling is on developing a relationship of trust, compassion and understanding, through which we can help you better understand yourself, and to find answers and solutions to whatever is on your mind.

I am also a trained, qualified cognitive behavioural therapist (CBT) and can help you to explore the link between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to gain more perspective and balance in your thoughts.

Counselling with me will help you to feel heard and genuinely understood.

Together, we can work to help you to take control and deal with any difficulties or issues, so you can live the life you want.

I am a gentle, patient, understanding counsellor and I want to make sure that your counselling is a positive, enriching experience for you. Please contact me using the button on this page, and I will contact you back quickly to set up an initial session so we can talk more about what you want to get from counselling and how I can help you. I can offer a free initial phone call or short appointment so you can get to know me better and ask any questions you might have.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am fully qualified as a counsellor and have many years of experience of providing counselling and therapy. I have additional training and qualifications in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focussed therapy, mindfulness practice and an extensive range of issues and difficulties.

I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative counsellor.

I have experience and skills in working with people on the autism spectrum or who have learning difficulties or disabilities.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
