About me
If you are struggling right now, then book in some time to talk it through.
I am an extremely well-regarded, highly successful, comprehensively qualified counsellor and therapist working across the Worthing and Adur areas. I can provide you with friendly, approachable, professional and impactful counselling and therapy to help with whatever you're dealing with.
I have a wide range of experience, expert knowledge and success in working with many difficulties and concerns that you may face. These might include anxiety issues, panic attacks, OCD, depression, relationship difficulties, anger, trauma, learning disability, childhood experiences - and many more.
My focus is on developing a relationship of trust between us, and acting with integrity, compassion and understanding, at all times. This helps to provide the right therapeutic space in which we can begin to explore and better understand your difficulties, and find solutions to whatever is on your mind if that's what you're looking for.
I will show you genuine interest, care and curiosity - and so counselling with me will help you to feel heard and understood. Together, we can work to help you take control and live the life you want.
As well as a qualified counsellor, I am also a qualified, highly successful cognitive behavioural therapist (CBT), an approach which can further help you to explore the link between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours - gaining more perspective and balance in your everyday thoughts.
I am keen to make sure that your counselling is a positive, enriching experience for you. Please contact me using the button on this page, and I will contact you back quickly to set up an initial session so we can talk more about how I can help you.
I can offer a free initial phone call or introductory appointment so you can get to know me better and ask any questions you might have.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am fully qualified as a counsellor and have many years of experience of providing counselling and therapy. I have additional training and qualifications in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focussed therapy, mindfulness, working with couples and marriage/relationship issues, and an extensive range of specific issues and difficulties.
I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative counsellor.
I have experience, qualifications and skills in working with neurodiversity, including people on the autism spectrum.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
