About me

Hello, I'm Rhiannon (she/her) a qualified Counsellor offering individual counselling to adults online, over the phone (nationwide) and in person in Bath, Corsham and surrounding areas.

As a person-centred counsellor and NCPS-accredited registrant, I’ll be working in a way that supports your wellbeing, at your pace. Our sessions together will be confidential and I’ll treat you with genuine care and respect.

I’ll work with gentle curiosity and compassion to support your needs, whether it’s short-term, goal-oriented, or more in depth self-exploration. I work with adults of all ages, from young adults to later life.

What can I help with?

I’ve worked with a wide range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression and problems in relationships but I also work with life transitions such as bereavement, divorce, relationships ending and also life stages such as retirement and the menopause. You may feel desperately lonely and that you are navigating painful experiences alone or that the people around you just expect you to move on and get on with things, not allowing you the time you need. The menopause can be a difficult time when caring responsibilities, work and physical challenges are being navigated simultaneously. You might wonder who is caring for you as you keep the plates spinning. Or you may feel overwhelmed by stress, that you are not thriving, that you are not truly living as time seems to be slipping by. Counselling can be a place to bring those feelings and not feel judged, a place to gain some clarity and be heard, person to person.

I’m also a neuro-affirmative counsellor (ADHD and Autism) so I’m trained to support you in a way that works with your difference. In a world designed for the neurotypical, being neurodivergent can feel isolating and you may have experienced bullying at school and in the workplace, struggle with relationships or feel depleted from masking or managing day to day living. Counselling can be a place to explore your difference and gain insight into your strengths which can lead to greater self-esteem.

I have lived and worked outside of the UK for many years so I have an appreciation of other cultures and ways of being. With this in mind, I work inclusively and this includes not excluding people who are struggling financially so I offer a number of reduced fee sessions. Contact me for current availability.

How does it all work?

I offer a free introductory call to give you the opportunity to ask any questions or maybe just get a sense of whether we would be a good fit for each other. If you feel nervous about calling, you can ask me questions over email instead. If you are happy with everything, we’ll organise how and when we’ll meet and I’ll send you some information about paying for sessions and cancellation. If you agree to that, we’ll be ready to start working together. We’ll review the work we’re doing so you are able to get the most out of our sessions together.
