About me
My name is Rebekah, and I am a child, adolescent and adult psychotherapist and counsellor working online. I qualified with a Master's degree at Terapia (Middlesex University) in 2024 and a postgraduate diploma in 2022, and have been working with children and adolescents since 2016. I am an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, which means I draw upon several modalities and adapt these depending on the needs of the individual. My training is in person-centred therapy, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy, play therapy, creative arts therapy and trauma therapy, amongst others.
I work in a trauma-informed, compassionate and relational way and believe that the therapeutic relationship can aid in bringing meaningful change through the experience of being seen, heard and understood.
You may have grown up experiencing narcissistic parenting in a high-control family system, emotional and physical neglect and/or adverse childhood experiences. You may have experienced religious trauma, spiritual abuse and fear-based purity culture (particularly in childhood and adolescence), which have left you feeling fear, guilt, shame and dissociation.
As a result, maybe you find yourself people-pleasing and fawning, even when you don’t want to, where being compliant to other people’s needs feels like the only way to stay safe. Maybe you feel emotionally dysregulated, experiencing flashbacks, hypervigilance, suppressed anger and mental rumination. Perhaps this impacts your interpersonal relationships, causing avoidance, mistrust and relational breakdown.
As a trauma survivor myself, I understand how adverse life experiences can have a devastating impact on the quality of your internal and external world. Together, in therapy, we can begin to explore and process difficult experiences in a safe and client-led way, helping you to rebuild a sense of self, grow your autonomy, find your voice and bring healing after trauma.
I specialise in working with people who have experienced and/or are experiencing:
- CPTSD, complex trauma and adverse childhood experiences
- Narcissistic parenting and high control family systems
- High-control religion, religious trauma and spiritual abuse
- Recovering from purity culture and fear-based teaching (particularly in childhood or adolescence)
- People-pleasing and fawning
- Intrusive thoughts and rumination
- Being a 'late bloomer'
I offer a confidential and non-judgemental space to explore your experience in a contained and affirming way. In session, I will be an empathic, compassionate listening ear to be alongside you as you explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions.
Therapy can support you by:
- Unlearning self-abandonment to a greater sense of self
- Developing your voice and learning to say no
- Growing in autonomy after high-control environments
- Learning to live authentically with more self-compassion
- Regulating emotions and feeling safer in your body
- Making sense of your story and processing past events
I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help, as well as finding the right therapist for you. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute introductory call to see if it is the right fit. There is no obligation to continue after the call.
Sessions will occur online at the same time each week and will last for 50 minutes.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
