About me
Hello, welcome to my profile :)
My name is Beccy, I am a qualified trauma focused psychotherapist and clinical supervisor.
I work in private practice in online and telephone counselling and psychotherapy, based in Hertfordshire.
Are you feeling worried, stressed or struggling with how to cope with a particular feeling or circumstance? Counselling and psychotherapy, supports you to explore your feelings within a safe environment, to build up healthy coping techniques, to discover ways to prioritise your self-care and to help to support your decision making and autonomy.
As a therapist, I hold both professional and personal experience of how life changing receiving therapeutic support can feel with moving forwards and in developing a more positive outlook in life.
In therapy, I believe in the insight of Carl Rogers, 'the client knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial'. Your life experiences are unique to you. There are no two experiences the same, as each, is an individual process.
I feel passionate about helping to support others, with a lived personal experience as to just how life changing receiving specialised support from a trusted therapist can feel to help to move forwards in life.
I invite you to reach out for a 15 minute telephone consultation to offer an opportunity to discuss your needs, priorities and the ways in which you’d prefer to receive support.
If this sounds ideal for you, I will offer a regular time each week dedicated to you, to feel valued, heard, and understood with empathy, respect and positive regard.
I welcome you to contact me here to arrange a free telephone consultation to explore your needs and how we may work together in support of your personal journey.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
