About me
As a Licensed Integrative Psychotherapist, with a deep passion for helping individuals improve their emotional well-being and overall quality of life, I utilise a unique approach that combines the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), and Attachment Theory. This approach enables me to tailor my therapeutic techniques to your specific needs, ensuring that you receive the most effective and personalised support possible.
I work with most presenting issues but have specialist experience in Long-term health conditions, issues in pregnancy, Postnatal issues and Birth Trauma.
What typical short-term therapy would look like: Weeks 1-2: Assessment, goal-setting, build therapeutic rapport (PCT). Weeks 3-6: CBT to challenge negative thoughts. Weeks 7-10: Explore attachment patterns. Weeks 11-12: Integrate insights, develop coping strategies
I understand that reaching out for therapy can be a significant step, and I am dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore your feelings and experiences at your own pace. Together, we will develop a therapeutic plan that aligns with your unique needs and goals, ultimately guiding you towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.
If you are ready to embark on your journey towards healing and self-discovery, please don’t hesitate to contact me for a confidential consultation. I am here to support you every step of the way.
Training, qualifications & experience
How I Can Help:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): I will work with you to identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviours, providing practical strategies to manage anxiety, depression, OCD, and overwhelming feelings. CBT empowers you to regain control over your emotions and live a more balanced life.
Person-Centred Therapy: In a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment, I will help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, ultimately promoting self-awareness and personal growth. Person-Centred Therapy is especially effective for issues related to self-esteem, identity, and interpersonal relationships.
Attachment Theory: Many emotional challenges can be traced back to early attachment experiences. By delving into your attachment history, we can understand the roots of your current struggles and work towards healing past wounds. Attachment-focused therapy is particularly helpful for individuals dealing with trauma, childhood trauma, and relationship issues.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

What to expect from your first session:
As your counsellor, I want to assure you that our therapeutic space is one of warmth, acceptance, and safety. From the moment you step through the door, you will be met with empathy and unconditional positive regard, creating an environment where you can explore your innermost thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment.
During our assessment session, we will have the opportunity to delve into your reasons for seeking therapy, see if we are a good fit and explore the goals you hope to achieve. Your voice and your experiences will shape the direction of our work together, guiding us towards a deeper understanding of your unique journey.
Drawing from the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), we will explore the intricate connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Together, we will identify any negative thought patterns or self-limiting beliefs that may be holding you back, and develop strategies to challenge and reframe them.
In the spirit of Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), I will strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued as your authentic self. Your experiences, emotions, and insights will be honoured and respected, serving as the foundation for our therapeutic journey.
Attachment Theory will provide us with a valuable framework for understanding the dynamics of your relationships and how they may be influencing your mental health. By exploring your attachment patterns and early life experiences, we can gain insight into the roots of your emotional challenges and work towards fostering healthier connections.
As we approach our first counselling session together, I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to seek support and begin a journey of healing. You’re not alone in this; I’m here to accompany you every step of the way, offering guidance, support, and empathy.
