About me

Hello, I'm Rebecca welcome to my page,

I am happy to be once again offering face-to-face counselling. To support this safely I am following government guidelines. As I am also a qualified online counsellor I will continue to offer telephone, email and video (Zoom) counselling sessions.

Please feel free to contact me by either telephone or email. It's good to have questions, and I am happy to answer any you have.

The way therapy works: my role is to help you explore the relationship between your thoughts, feelings and experiences. To help you can get a better understanding of how your past experiences influence and affect you, in the present. This understanding can help you process your thoughts, feelings and beliefs. Gaining a better understanding of yourself may help you make different choices, and feel happier.

The first or initial session: It's an informal meeting. A chance for you to experience what counselling feels like and discuss what you want from therapy.

I have worked with clients with the following issues:

Anxiety and general anxiety disorders.                                                                                   Recovery from Covid 19.
Panic, panic attacks and managing feelings around anxiety and panic.                           Relationship issues with partners, friends and family members.
Addiction, drugs, alcohol, supporting families with family members who have an addiction.
Depression and low mood.
Bereavement and loss.
Bi-polar disorder.
Personality disorders
Self harming behaviour
Trauma and childhood trauma

Please feel free to contact me via telephone or email with any questions you may have.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

Sadly I do not have wheelchair accessibility
