About me

Welcome! I’m Rebecca, a passionate and dedicated therapist committed to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and personal growth.

I currently offer in person, online or telephone sessions, which last upto 1 hour.

I offer short or long term therapy to suit your needs.

My holistic approach is rooted in empathy, active listening, and a genuine desire to help others navigate their challenges.

Throughout my career so far, I have had the privilege of working with children & adults with complex trauma, substance misuse, complex families and domestic violence.

I am a trained Intergrative therapist - which allows me to combine more than one approach together these include: CBT, Gestalt, Person centered and Psychodynamic. I can therefore taylor different methods to meet your personal needs.

I believe that everyone has the potential to overcome obstacles and lead fulfilling lives.

In my practice, I prioritise creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can express themselves freely. I understand that seeking help can be daunting, and I strive to foster a supportive environment and build a relationship with you that encourages open dialogue and exploration. My goal is to empower individuals to identify their strengths, set achievable goals, and cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves.

Outside of my counselling practice, I work in addiction services and participate in additional  training to stay informed about the latest developments in the field, ensuring that I provide the best possible care to my clients.

I have a passion for supporting vicims of domestic abuse and regular advocate for change in domestic abuse towards men as suicide in males increase.

I also have experience in supporting people with the process to access ADHD asessments through the right to choose route.

Thank you for considering to put your trust into me. I look forward to working together to help you achieve your goals and embrace the possibilities that lie ahead.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
