About me

Hi, I'm Rebecca. I am a BACP registered counsellor, offering face-to-face sessions in Romsey and Winchester, as well as online in the UK.

I provide a warm, empathetic and accepting therapeutic approach offering a welcoming and confidential space for adults who are experiencing bereavement, loss, grief, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, family issues, or challenges at work. Many of the people I work with also come to me because they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward in life.

Our therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work and I am passionate about creating a connection built on trust and collaboration. Together, we will explore what feels most important to you: making sense of current challenges and finding new perspectives that support healing and growth.

I also support adults struggling with:

  • Low self-esteem or low self-worth
  • Inner conflict and self-sabotage
  • Anxiety, panic attacks, or OCD
  • Low mood, sadness, or lack of motivation
  • Anger, stress, or burnout
  • A general dissatisfaction with life and a longing for more fulfilment

I will walk alongside you at your pace, helping you to gain greater self-awareness, understanding, and self-compassion.

My main therapeutic approach is Transactional Analysis, a humanistic model that helps us understand how our past experiences and relationships shape the way we think, feel and relate today. It offers practical tools for change, supporting you to let go of unhelpful patterns and develop healthier, more authentic ways of living and connecting with others. I also draw on other counselling styles to ensure therapy is tailored to you as a unique individual.

If you are considering counselling, I offer a free 20-minute consultation. This is a chance for you to ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and see whether I am the right person to support you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
