About me
I am a qualified integrative counsellor skilled in blending various therapeutic methods, including person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy. My adaptable approach is designed to address the unique needs of each client.
Through rigorous theoretical and practical training, I am well-equipped to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. A significant portion of my experience comes from the NHS IAPT service, where I developed valuable insights into issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, societal pressures, and post-natal depression.
My approach focuses on building a therapeutic alliance with clients, enabling us to collaboratively establish goals and interventions that are most beneficial for them. Ultimately, my aim is to equip clients with the skills, techniques, and insights they need to become independent.
Before I trained to be a therapist, I worked in the City in various finance related roles and have an understanding of the different set of challenges it brings. I also hold a BSc in Economics and Accounting.
Training, qualifications & experience
Having spent the last 15 years living in diverse regions—such as the Middle East, South Asia, and now predominantly in England—I bring a deep, empathetic understanding of various cultural landscapes to my practice. My extensive experience with Ethnic Minority clients has enriched my ability to navigate and respect cross-cultural dynamics, allowing me to be especially sensitive to the unique challenges and expectations that arise.
In our sessions together, you can expect a warm and non-judgmental space where you are encouraged to express yourself openly. My goal is to create a safe environment where you feel comfortable exploring and reconnecting with different aspects of yourself that may have been overshadowed or lost over time. I often work with client’s past experiences and their ‘here and now’ feelings, we work together in finding acceptance for themselves and encourage clients to find the solutions to their problems, taking the approach of the client being an expert of themselves. I offer my clients insights to their problems by identifying patterns that may have formed over the years.
By integrating different methods, I aim to support you in piecing together the puzzle of your life, fostering clarity, understanding, and a more authentic relationship with yourself. Together, we will work to uncover and embrace your inner strength, guiding you towards a path that feels both fulfilling and true to who you are.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I provide a free 15-30 minute consultation to discuss your needs and how we might be able to work well together. This initial session allows you to ask any questions you may have about therapy. If you decide to proceed with therapy, I’ll provide a contract for you to read, sign, and bring to your first session. If you change your mind, you can cancel at any time with a two-week notice.
I offer both open-ended and short-term therapy options. Open-ended therapy continues for as long as clients find it helpful, while short-term therapy consists of 12 sessions that can be extended based on individual needs. Each session lasts 50 minutes and is scheduled weekly at a consistent time.
