MBACP, Therapist & Counsellor

About me

I work with men who seem fine on the outside, but don't feel OK below the surface.

I’m a specialist in supporting men who feel overwhelmed, stuck or emotionally disconnected. You keep busy, push things down, carry on. But then you realise that carrying on isn't really working any more. If you identify with any of these, I can help:

  • You’re successful but unhappy
  • You haven’t ‘got round to’ dealing with stuff
  • You’ve lost your ‘mojo’ and feel anxious or depressed
  • Your relationship isn’t where you want it to be
  • You’ve become a parent and can’t quite cope like you’re ‘supposed to’
  • You feel angry but aren’t quite sure why
  • You’ve lost someone and can’t get your head around it

I’m trained in both psychodynamic and CBT therapy. I tailor my approach to help you with your specific challenges.

Alongside my therapy practice, I work in a senior charity communications role. I have spent years working with people dealing with pressure, responsibility and change. I’ve also spent years as the person who told everyone that I was ‘fine’ – until I realised that I wasn’t.

Don't wait until you're in crisis to come to therapy. Let’s have a conversation – I offer a free initial consultation - and see where it takes us.

I offer sessions online and in person in N2 (East Finchley) and N3 (Finchley Central).

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm a Registered Member of BACP and Clinical Lead at London's Therapy. I've always worked for charities and supported people to share their stories, helping to navigate life's complications, complexities and challenges.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
