About me
Counsellor and psychotherapist. I am passionate about empowering individuals and experienced working with trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, ADHD, Autism, Eating Disorders, and depression. Sessions are safe, confidential, non-judgmental and neuroaffirming.
Examples of areas I work in: Identity, ADHD, Autism, acceptance, eating disorders, body image/dysmorphia, PTSD, trauma, low self-esteem, pain, relationships, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+. I also work with neurotypical clients and the families and loved ones supporting neurodivergent individuals.
I understand that life can feel really lonely and you might have times of feeling lost, anxious, alone or confused as to who you are or what to do. Feeling like nobody understands you, or maybe not even understanding yourself? I can support you to make sense of what's going on and work together on things that might feel a bit scary looking at them alone.
I won’t tell you what to do - chances are with a bit of time and space you'll realise you already know the answers - but I will provide a compassionate and empowering environment that validates your experiences and supports you to make sense of them and move forward in whichever way you want.
What happens in a session?
Psychotherapy/counselling sessions are either in-person at my therapy room or online via Teams. I offer a FREE up to 30-minute discovery call to help decide if I'm the right counsellor for you. Contact me via email or WhatsApp to book yours.
I use an integrative therapeutic approach adopting elements from different modalities, including psychodynamic and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). Sessions are adapted depending on the needs of the client and can be explored as part of the discovery call.
During our initial session, we'll explore what it is that brought you to counselling/therapy and what support you might need; you don't need to know the answers - often not knowing the answer is a place to start.
With help from me, we will challenge and reflect on certain ideas you may have and aspects of your life to help you move forward in a way that works for you. I can help you to figure out what you're feeling or wanting and ultimately only you are the expert on you, so the sessions are for you to take up as much space you need.
Sessions are confidential, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings privately in a safe space.
Making changes and taking that leap of faith can be challenging and at times scary, which is why I offer a safe space in which you can explore your ideas, so that at the very least you can be confident in how you are feeling but at most, feel empowered to live life more authentically.

Memberships:
Registered Member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP )
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I strive to provide a practice that is safe and inclusive. I encourage clients to share if they have any additional needs or require adjustments to support the process of counselling. For example, reduced lighting, no eye contact, and extended use of silence for processing time.
Clients attending my therapy room have the option of fidget toys, soft toys, colouring/drawing tools, as well as bean bags. I also welcome all clients, in-person and online, to bring with them to sessions any sensory aids or tools that help them to access the space.
