About me
Rachel is a psychotherapist with a genuine passion for helping people find their way to positive, lasting change. She takes time to understand each client as an individual, gently tailoring her approach — drawing on psychodynamic, person-centred, behavioural, and mindfulness therapies — to suit what they need most. Her work is collaborative and flexible, built on respect for each client's unique story, and focused on nurturing self-awareness, emotional regulation, and personal growth at a pace that feels right for them.
Rachel has particular experience working with children and young people, using creative, play and nature-based approaches to help them process their experiences and build emotional understanding, in ways that feel natural to them. She also works with couples, helping them strengthen their relationship and navigate challenges together. In addition, she supports survivors of abuse, having trained and worked with Waves Counselling, and offers grief and bereavement counselling, having trained with Cruse.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community and someone who is neurodivergent (ADHD), Rachel personally understands the importance of feeling truly seen and accepted. She offers a warm, non-judgemental space where every client can feel safe to be themselves, informed by her own lived experience.
Rachel is also a certified hypnotherapist, helping clients with a range of issues including anxiety, smoking cessation, phobias, and weight loss.
Rachel believes wholeheartedly that every client deserves fair, compassionate, and impartial care. She welcomes all clients with open arms, without prejudice, however they subscribe to life and regardless of their colour, gender, religion, culture, background, disability, or sexuality.
Rachel is an Accredited Registrant member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCS20-01089) and abides by their code of ethics.
She holds professional indemnity insurance with Holistic Insurance.
