About me

Sometimes we can feel stuck in our lives — in relationships, our careers, or in how we feel about ourselves. We may notice the same patterns repeating, or find that life has become overwhelming and the way forward feels unclear. Carrying the weight of life’s challenges alone isn’t easy, and therapy can offer a space to begin making sense of what’s happening.

I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist offering a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore difficulties at a pace that feels manageable. I work with individuals and couples, both online and in person in Betchworth.

Alongside general psychotherapy work, I have a particular interest in ADHD in adulthood, life after breast cancer, and preparing for parenthood. These experiences can bring challenges around identity, relationships, emotional wellbeing, and self-understanding that are not always easy to put into words.

My approach is grounded in person-centred therapy, alongside an awareness of the nervous system and relational patterns. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences more clearly — helping you build understanding, self-compassion, and new ways of moving forward.

Training, qualifications & experience

I work with individuals and couples experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, grief, and loss. I also have particular interests in ADHD in adulthood, life after breast cancer, and preparing for parenthood.

I offer therapy in person in Reigate Surrey and online via Zoom.

My approach is humanistic and person-centred, recognising the uniqueness of each person’s experience and the importance of feeling genuinely heard and understood. Together, we can explore what may be troubling you, make sense of patterns or experiences, and find ways of moving forward that feel manageable and meaningful.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked for many years as a nurse within the NHS. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of the connection between emotional and physical wellbeing, and the impact difficult life experiences can have on both.

I hold a Foundation Degree in Psychotherapy with the University of Greenwich and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working within their ethical framework. I undertake regular supervision and ongoing professional development.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Key details

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I can offer both online sessions and in person at two bespoke therapy rooms in Redhill and Betchworth.
