Clinical Psychologist, HCPC-DClinPsy

About me

I am a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years' experience of working with individuals, families, couples, and adolescents. Are you an individual, couple, or family navigating change, illness, grief, or separation? Perhaps you are struggling with parenting after a loss or a traumatic experience? You may be recovering from an abusive relationship or living with the effects of racial trauma? Perhaps you are finding yourself in relationships that leave you feeling stuck, anxious, or low in mood? If any of these apply to you, I can offer specialist psychological therapy that could make a difference.

Training, qualifications & experience

Having worked across a range of NHS settings and in liaison with other statutory and non statutory agencies with people across their lifespan, I draw on a number of approaches including systemic, psychoanalytic, CBT and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) for trauma. I also offer specialist assessments and make recommendations for appropriate next steps. In therapy, I am guided by your hopes and values and aim to provide tailored support that builds on your existing strengths and resources to increase self-awareness, healing, and growth.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Further information

I understand that seeking help might feel nerve-racking, and it can be hard to work out exactly what you need. In the first few sessions, we'll develop a deeper understanding of the difficulties that brought you to therapy and agree on the approach(es) that are likely to be most helpful for you. We might then agree on a certain number of sessions and/or review at regular intervals to ensure that they are supporting your hopes for therapy.

Please email or call me if you would like an initial chat or to book a consultation.
