About me
I'm a qualified integrative-trained counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
Navigating through life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re facing mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and stress, or wrestling with deeper emotional struggles like low self-esteem, grief, identity loss, or the wounds left by narcissistic abuse. At Oakwood Counselling & Wellbeing, my role is to provide a safe and welcoming space where you can explore what you’re experiencing, reflect on what may be holding you back, and discover healthier ways of managing life’s ups and downs.
Counselling can be especially valuable if you’re feeling isolated, stuck, or unsure of your direction. Perhaps you’re finding it hard to feel confident or purposeful, or you’re experiencing a loss of identity. Together, we can work through these feelings, helping you find clarity, build resilience, and create a stronger sense of self. Our sessions are an opportunity for you to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, free from judgement. You’ll have the space to share your experiences, gain insights, and begin to make changes that support your well-being and personal growth.
I work from a flexible approach that adapts to your needs, blending different techniques to help you understand and manage difficult emotions, develop coping skills, and overcome negative patterns. My focus is on helping you understand your experiences, gain perspective, and feel empowered to make the changes you wish to see in your life. This approach means that each session is guided by what matters most to you, helping you work through issues as they come up in a way that feels comfortable and manageable.
Choosing to seek help is a big step, especially if this is your first time exploring counselling. I’m here to walk alongside you, supporting you in facing what may feel overwhelming and helping you to develop tools to manage life’s challenges with greater confidence and inner strength.
If you’re ready to start this journey, I welcome you to reach out for an initial consultation to see how we might work together. Taking this first step could be the beginning of a more fulfilling, balanced life.
My Approach
I work from an integrative approach, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities to tailor our sessions to best suit your needs. My practice combines person-centred therapy, which places you at the heart of the process, with elements of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic insights. This flexible framework allows me to adapt each session to your present state, helping you achieve clarity, emotional balance, and practical coping skills. Through our work together, we’ll address the internal and external factors contributing to your current experience, empowering you with the tools to overcome negative patterns, manage stress and anxiety, and restore a sense of purpose and identity.
My goal is not only to support you through difficult times but to help you develop resilience and confidence to face future challenges with greater strength and self-awareness. Whether you are dealing with relationship difficulties, feelings of isolation, or a lingering sense of abandonment, our sessions will focus on rebuilding a sense of trust—in yourself, in others, and in life itself.
This flexible approach allows me to tailor therapy to the specific needs and goals of each client. My work is rooted in the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives, and my role is to guide them in uncovering their inner strengths, cultivating resilience, and moving toward meaningful change.
If you’re ready to take that first step towards healing, reach out to book an initial consultation. Let’s explore how I can support you in creating a more balanced, fulfilled life.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
