About me
Taking first steps can feel hard — but you don’t have to do it alone.
I’m a qualified integrative counsellor (MBACP) working from Widnes, offering in-person sessions to adults across Widnes, Runcorn, Speke, Liverpool (South), Halewood, Warrington, Frodsham and Helsby — as well as providing secure online therapy across the UK for flexibility.
I work with adults who are carrying responsibility, pressure, and unspoken strain—often functioning well on the outside while feeling increasingly constrained on the inside. My work focuses on clarity, meaning, and sustainable ways of living within real-world demands.
Many of the people I work with are coping well on the surface, but privately feeling stretched, depleted, or increasingly constrained. They're meeting responsibilities, supporting others, and continuing to function—yet sense that the way they're living isn't sustainable.
Sometimes distress doesn't show up as crisis or collapse, but as a quiet sense of disconnect, that something no longer fits. Life continues, responsibilities are met, and expectations are managed—yet the cost of holding everything together becomes harder to ignore.
I work with people who want space to understand what they're carrying, how they have adapted over time, and whether those adaptations still serve them. I offer counselling for those who are carrying pressure, responsibility, and unspoken strain, and who want a structured space to think clearly about what's happening and why.
My integrative approach means that you and I will work together to tailor your therapy to your unique situation: sometimes this can be a structured, skills-based method, sometimes a deeper emotional exploration or inner-work, or sometimes a gentle, supportive pathway to build self-esteem, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
Over the years I’ve helped clients with issues such as:
- Anxiety and panic attacks / generalised anxiety / health anxiety / social anxiety
- Depression, low mood, chronic stress and burnout
- Difficult past experiences, emotional abuse, grief, bereavement and loss
- Low self-esteem, confidence issues, self-worth and identity difficulties
- Relationship problems (communication difficulties, affairs & betrayals, break-up or divorce)
- Life transitions, identity, adjustment, and periods of uncertainty or loss of direction
- Workplace stress, burnout, and work-life balance struggles
- Emotional regulation, anger management and stress through difficult circumstances
- Neurodiversity-related challenges, including aspects of ADHD and autism
I draw on an integrative blend of therapeutic approaches — including elements of CBT, person-centred therapy, transactional analysis, psychodynamic work, mindfulness, and inner-work — to meet you where you are. We’ll work collaboratively, at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you.
If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you — I offer a free, no-obligation, 20-minute initial consultation so you can ask questions, and we can explore whether my way of working feels like a good fit for you.

Whatever is bringing you to therapy, you are welcome here.
Your Therapy, Your Journey
Therapy is not about “fixing” you—you aren't broken! It’s about giving you the space, tools, and self-awareness to understand yourself more deeply, develop emotional resilience, and create positive changes in your life.
Each of our sessions is collaborative and tailored to your needs. Some people come to therapy looking for structured strategies, while others need a space to explore their emotions freely. Whether you’re seeking short-term support for a specific challenge or longer-term therapy for deeper self-exploration, I'll work alongside you in a way that feels comfortable, respectful, and empowering.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
